Keep Awakening Buttery Berry Crumble Bar Recipe
Packed with tons of antioxidants and flavor!!! These little goodies are “Berry, Berry good for you!” (Pun intended) These are lovely for snacks, picnic and breakfast food. They’re easy and delicious and very portable.
Ingredients:
2 cups oats
1 1/2 cups All Purpose Flour
1 cup Brown Sugar
1 teaspoon Baking Powder
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup salted butter
Filling:
2 1/2 cups berries
2-4 Tablespoons sugar
2 Tablespoons All Purpose Flour
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 teaspoons lemon zest
1/2 cup berry jam
1 orange sliced
Method:
Heat oven to 350
Line a 9x13” dish with parchment
Pulse oats, flour, brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon.
Add cold butter and pulse to crumble
Press 1/3 dough into a dish flat and bake 10 mins to golden
Filling:
Toss berries, sugar, flour, vanilla, zest together
Spread over crust.
Drop jam on top
Add orange slices
Sprinkle the rest of the dough on top
Return to the oven and bake 30-40 mins to golden
Cut into bars while warm
Keeps for up to 1 week
