Love Matters Newsletter
I remember leaving a gift for a wonderful landlord and landlady couple in Mt. Shasta area, when I left the home they rented to me for a 6 month period. It was a great experience filled with invitations to break bread with them, instant help and attention to making life more comfortable at every opportunity by them. The sign I left them was one that simply stated “Kindness Matters.”
I would place a sign at every doorpost these days to state that “Love Matters Most.”
Without love life becomes a test of endurance and not the journey of discovery and amazing wonder that it truly is. Love in all things makes all the difference in the world.
To speak without love is just a matter of fact, to hear without love is not real listening, to see without love misses out on the beauty we are always surrounded by, and through each of our senses we can and deserve to make sure that love matters and is present in each one.
A relationship without love is a form of communication that feels more business-like rather than with any personal involvement. A long time ago a business person behaved toward me without integrity, and as she left she turned and said over her shoulder to me “ you understand this is purely business and not personal.”
I responded immediately, calling her energy back to me in order for her to hear my response, as I said that “if life wasn’t personal then it probably wasn’t a life worth living as far as I was concerned and that any relationship was destined to have some personal values within it.”
She left shaking her head and my heart ached a little to know this was a philosophy that didn’t help the world culture to be more loving or kind.
Who we are and how we are matters and so does love and so does kindness.
