See Yourself - A Spiritual Story
I love it when our topic for the week can provide ideas and guidelines to a better version of ourselves. The title of this one has all the trademarks of that potential. It’s more often been a truth for me in sessions with anybody and almost everybody, that we don’t always see ourselves with the best eyes. We are more comfortable with our worst critic than our best friend within us.
It’s funny when you think about it, because most of us would drop a friend who did nothing but criticize us, and yet here we live in some of the harshest criticism and we can’t even lose them, as we are with us 24/7. Wherever we go, there we are, and there is no getting away from us, and so because of that alone, why wouldn’t we think kind thoughts toward ourselves and let’s see us with the eyes of Divine.
We are beloved, a one of a kind, unique being, that is the only one in the whole universe, let alone the whole world. If someone beautiful walked into the room you were in, male or female, you would stop for a moment, appreciate their beauty and drink in the appearance that appealed to you. There may be gratitude, you may be a little threatened, or notice your own appearance, and perhaps compare, but whatever your reaction, something would happen in your field of energetic interest.
Let’s go ahead and practice being that beautiful person that walks into a room. Once we start to recognize what’s right with us, seeing ourselves in the most extraordinary light, almost taking our breath away, with our own Divine beauty, we are seeing ourselves in the Divine design that’s always awaiting our simple recognition.
Seeing yourself with the eyes of Divine is well worth your time and attention. If you can’t see the whole picture of how glorious you are, simply pick one feature you can love, and focus on it, stretching it into all the other aspects of your being. Sometimes we can find something on the inside of us more easily than on the outside, and if that’s the starting point, then that’s more than fine. All that’s being suggested is that you see yourself as a thread of God and if we assume that the superior being that co-created us, sees us as perfect and Divine, it may be our highest alignment to match the vision we were born to live within. You are hereby invited to see you as God sees and loves you.
