Unique You - A Spiritual Story
There have been over the years many stories that deeply touched my heart. Every story of individual life touches my own journey, and some of them stick with me for years after the sessions took place.
One of these stories involved a man who used to come to our healing center to eat his lunch and chat with my beloved mum. For a period of time he actually helped out on weekends at the front desk, while she was healing, and he was a special gift to me, at a time when I needed a great deal more support. He did come to me for healing during that time, and his own story unfolded.
He had been born with health challenges, wearing a colostomy bag and with a very curved spine that caused him some major discomfort his whole entire life. His father was more than angry when his only son was born with what he felt were unacceptable physical defects. As a result, his father was cruel, more than abusive and even hostile toward him. His little hands were shoved in hot toasters, he was hit and thrown against walls, and was verbally reminded he was a mistake as far as his own father was concerned. The mother was silent and afraid, feeling that she had let her husband down and she hid and spent time away from her only son.
The man I met had lived his life very much alone, with an energy that far from celebrating his unique qualities, had beaten him up for them, which carried over through his bullied school years, and even took him into a cruel and demanding, disrespectful and harsh working life. When he, in his early 50’s, began working at my front desk, helping people check in and out of their healing sessions, he felt honored, useful and loved. I appreciated his unique talents and helped him discover them too.
Within three months he left the horrible employment situation, and began his own company, cleaning private airplanes, in demand, with massive rewards. He bought his own home and felt his own unique gifts being appreciated and used in his world. There was even a woman friend with a romantic growing interest in him. His focus moved to who he truly was and not who he was painted to be by those who misunderstood his unique and extraordinary self. His truth touched my heart forever.
