Bright Love - A Spiritual Story
In all the years of guiding amazing individuals to their best lives, there are quite a few stand-out stories that have more than touched my heart.
During the darker days of the pandemic, I had a few really big stories to share. One of them was with a beautiful nurse, who while helping her world, had a really sad truth she had to deal with in her own life. Her great love of her life, her bright and shiny gorgeous man, came down with a fast paced version of the pandemic himself, and even with all her skills, and the kiss of life, she couldn’t save him.
Her love story with him was so bright and extraordinary, that this was a truly devastating blow. I knew this pretty young woman had recently lost the love of her life, even at the time the appointment was booked, before we had spoken or met. The reason I knew was because he came to me, apologizing to her for leaving her too soon, and for the fallout that his passage from our world would cause her.
His original family, far from being supportive and kind, were blaming and ugly. They dumped all their grief in an angry and hostile way, on her. Not only did she have to grieve his loss, she also had to deal with his family being pretty dreadful on top of it all. He, however, showed me how wonderfully loving and amazing she was for him. He showed me the trucks he drove for work and was darned specific about it too. The details were undeniable, not only deepening my own faith once more, but more importantly providing comfort to his bright shiny love he unfortunately had left behind.
This loss was one of the saddest and came early on in the pandemic. It reminded me of how important it is to love while we are here on earth and to love with the brightest light we can shine. It also further reminded me that sometimes those on the outside of a loving relationship, don’t have the fullest picture of what’s actually going on, and instead of judging, it’s a much kinder way to ask gentle questions and be open to a new perspective. I realized then that if we haven’t experienced a bright shiny love yet, it’s never too late and the possibility, if we are open to it, is always there.
