Flashback Fridays - Awaken - A Spiritual Story

Along this journey I have had the great good fortune of meeting some of the World’s recognized Masters of energy. Some meetings have been incredibly sweet, while others left me scratching my head, awaiting the understanding I would receive.
Dr. Wayne Dyer was one of my first spiritual teachers. I listened to his audio and read his books. Meeting him a couple of times years later was such a privilege. He was definitely part of my awakening and I had the great pleasure of sharing his work with my mum, who loved him as well. I once met him at one of my healing retreats, and sat with him having lunch, it was near the end of his life, and so special because he meant the world to me.
In each amazing meeting I learned something. I liked the sweet ones more, because they really touched me and enriched my life.
One of these was at a party that I was brought to with my dear friend, a Hawaiian teacher, a “Kumu” that I have thoroughly enjoyed sharing time with for many years.
She took me to a home where a senior healing Kumu was celebrating the end to a hands-on massage class.
The Hawaiian man sat in a wheelchair with one leg, and the grandest genuine smile you’ve ever seen. He embodied the Aloha spirit and was filled with joy.
I sat right next to him, while students and local community members constantly visited him, holding his hand, thanking him and waiting for his wisdom to drop on them.
He would lean into me and whisper cute words, funny sayings and interesting observations.
I was completely enjoying the moments with him and didn’t move from that chair. I was pinned with interest.
I sat and observed, laughed, smiled and loved my time with him.
One thing I’ve noticed with highly vibrational beings is that they exude great joy much of the time that you’re around them. They don’t seem to have a worry or concern. They are peaceful.
When my friend let me know it was time to leave, I leaned into my Hawaiian elder, thanking him for sharing such special time with me. He motioned for me to lean in as he whispered in my ear that it was wonderful for him to sit with an Angel.
I was so touched by this sweet recognition of who I walk with, that as he squeezed my hand tight and I walked away, there were tears falling down my cheeks.
I knew this was a once in a lifetime sharing I would never have with him again.
He is no longer on this earth plane and for a few years when I would massage, his essence would often come through my hands to do some awesome healing work on my recipients.
