Weaving Life with Love - A Spiritual Story
During the over 30 years of doing this great spiritual work, I’ve seen and experienced a great deal. Many thousands of people from all walks of life have been seeking and they have often found the guidance that loves to pour through me, to help them in their journey of spiritual discovery.
I’ve realized over the years that although there is great temporary value in life commitments, work obligations, career moves, creative motivations and more, that there is way more in permanent spiritually that goes over, above and way beyond all of that.
I have realized the point for me in all of existence that makes every day extraordinary. I’ve found love that loves me. I have discovered how little we truly need. Simple is delightfully uncomplicated. My tapestry of life is much simpler and sweeter now than it’s ever been before.
I feel something huge happens when you are a witness, in a hospital or at home, with someone whose Worldly accomplishments are all complete, they are laying in a simple gown, usually open with their rear view vulnerable, and it’s the last days and final breaths of life. Nothing is left to be in the future. Completion is at hand. What did they need to do to close their own circle of life?
Having worked in hospice for a few years, I became quite connected to the witness of final days. I had to be hyper-aware of who was involved in that picture of the final threads in the weaving of life that was completing and signing off.
Sometimes families were in such denial, they weren’t admitting that I and the nurses even represented hospice, while at other times we were encouraged to discuss the ongoing journey with the patient and their families. I much preferred the second option as it felt way more honest. It seemed healthier to me to prepare for the letting go of a beloved person, without presence or burying the head in the sand. However, I saw a great deal of fear with the families of a loved one who was leaving them.
When I had the chance to prepare the person by introducing them to those beyond this World, and meditated the families to create peaceful communication with their soon to be passed on beloved member of their family, there was a huge sense of grace and love in the space we occupied. I felt it every single time. There was peace without fear.
I myself helped my husband to cross the bridge from this earthly plane to the next reality. I felt so honored to do so and his adult children who all stayed in a different state of America, had no clue of the extraordinary experience I shared with their father. I was sorry they didn’t know and weren’t open to it. For me, I was able to take all my training and spiritual knowing and unwind my spouse’s energy, sending every part of him up to Divine. It was really a powerful moment that I will never forget. It was a great privilege to be able to do that and I wished that all passage for my fellow human could feel like that.
Weaving life with love, especially when life comes in and when life goes out, is a gift worthy of our time and expression.
