Blossoming - A Spiritual Story
We have opportunities to bloom wherever we have planted ourselves and I often see, help to inspire and invite others to blossom through their life journeys. I love the work because of how I witness the changes and improvements that so often unfold right before my eyes.
Some blossoming’s take more time, while others happen quickly due to what has been constructed beforehand.
When I lost my husband to leukemia, I lost my home, car and community. I jumped around for a while and during that time I left the comfort of my mum’s sweet home in England to spend a month working and living at an Ashram in Charlottesville, Virginia.
It was the most loving environment I had ever lived in while here on earth.
The food was amazing, the yoga enriching and the meditations deep and life there was more than mindful.
There were four layers to the Ashram. One layer was the swamis who wore orange robes, had relinquished all Worldly constraints to be free in the spirit of this Hindu lifestyle. The next layer were the long term students of the teachings and philosophy of the Ashram.
The next layer was the one I was staying in, a layer of one month visitors who were engaging in working and living in the way of the Ashram. We were called LYT’s - Living Yoga Teachings.
I loved to sit with visitors, in the communal dining room, at the long bench tables provided during meals. One day I sat opposite two ladies who were there for a girl’s weekend. They were both blonde and pretty, while one seemed strong, friendly and supportive, the other looked so terribly sad and felt loaded down with a heaviness.
They were munching on salad and both talking about visiting, and asking about life at the Ashram, while I ate my own lunch I noticed two spirit cherubs behind the sad lady. Finally I asked her if she would be open to hearing spiritual truths that wished to be shared with her. They both nodded, intrigued.
I closed my eyes and spoke of what I saw. In my viewfinder, there were two babies, one boy and one girl, who did not arrive in full term in our World. They wanted to let her know it wasn’t because she had done anything wrong, it simply wasn’t right timing for them and they were planning a major comeback, that would deliberately place her in the role of mother of two vibrant children to complete her family.
First a boy and then a girl.
I opened my eyes and they were both wiping their eyes. She had been brought to the Ashram to heal from miscarriages that deeply saddened her. She felt hopeless and had stopped trusting that she could create the family she so dearly wanted.
The children were coming and there would be no stopping them this next time.
When lunch time finished, I had to get to work in my kitchen capacity, and they thanked me and took my number to stay in touch.
At this time, this sweet mother has her two healthy and vibrant daughter and son. Her family is complete.
We must believe and not lose the art of great imagination, so that we can blossom our gifts and keep our dreams alive, so that they can come true.
We deserve to keep planting until our wishes manifest to full bloom.
