Any of you delightful readers will know by now that I see each and every one of you as a star, even if you don’t always. I appreciate you so much. Thanks for being you!

I have witnessed star qualities in others so far in life, both in my personal journey and in my healing and guided working life. It’s been such a blessed journey and you’re all on it with me, my World family that I love and am thankful for.

There have been standout times when an individual has shown me what a star they are, sometimes in a jaw-dropping moment of clarity.

This story is about my life partner, Jeff (and he won’t know it’s about him until he edits this to go out to all of you.)

When he was young and an only child, he had the unfortunate life story of taking care of a very unwell father he absolutely adored, with a mum who left. He was only a teen with such a huge fate placed in his hands. He would go to school and come home or to the hospital to be with his beloved dad every day. He never complained, he did it with all his heart, because he so dearly loved his father. He was a real star and this created the depth of character that so attracted me to him.

Character comes not out of ease, but rather out of challenges and tough times. How we stand up and show up for others is one of the greatest testaments of love that there is. It’s not easy and there are no medals, or award dinners for the silent heroes in our society, yet they each deserve recognition. In this spiritual story, I hereby recognize the quietest heroes of all. All of us have had opportunities to show up for someone in our life. When we’ve done that, loving someone else so deeply and in such a pure way, this is our best and we are all stars when we go out of our way to be kind to each other.

It’s the worst of life in some respects, when we have to stop everything we prefer to do and instead, do what is right and honorable. My partner did that. His youth and freedoms suffered some loss, but his heart grew big and his integrity was completely intact. I know some of you reading this have sacrificed in your lives and this simply makes you a better person.

Thank you for being a star in your own life and in the life of anyone who is better off because of you.
