Walking Away

Do you get stuck in your own or someone else's drama and of stories of hurt and pain? It's easily done. But do you know how to not buy into it or get stuck there? Lately, I have seen these stories of hurt and drama consume day to day life.

Drama is omnipresent no matter who you are or where you live. It's on the news, movies, TV shows, and in our own lives. For entertainment purposes, it can cause no harm. But when we let it into our real lives, it can be toxic. Ultimately it's our choice on how we let it affect us.

Next time you find yourself either in your drama or the drama of someone you know, ask yourself, "Will this still mean something to me tomorrow?" If the answer is no, remove yourself from the situation before any damage is done to yourself or others.

Most of the time, we get caught up in the moment and let our emotions take the best of us. We get ourselves so involved in unnecessary drama without even realizing it. And by the time we realize where we are, its too late to remove yourself without experiencing any hurt or pain.

We have this one life. How do you chose to spend it? In situations filled with hurt and pain? Or happy and joyous?

Share your advice in the comments below on how you deal with life's drama. How do you remove yourself from the stress and hurt?

Blessings,

Ruth
