Rolling Through a Stop

When we roll through a stop sign in our car, it’s not a good thing, especially if a law enforcer is watching and ready to pounce on us.

However, in many instances in life, it’s fantastic to roll through aspects of life that usually can stop us if we allow it, and decide to instead be unstoppable.

I really love providing the crossroads readings as in every case, someone finds me because they’re at a crossroads in their lives and are unsure which doors to open, or which paths to take. There are often multiple choices and that can be even more challenging, as we aren’t sure which choice is the best one. I love that problem which isn’t a problem at all.

It’s simply a matter of discovering the best solution.

Let me illustrate a sweet story of a crossroads session I had in the earlier days of the Guidance work that flowed through me, while in the UK…………….

I was working in a small salon in Essex, England. The only other two therapists provided facials and skin care therapy. They were very good and the salon was thriving. I joined them as a massage and healing therapist, ready to gently conduct my “real work” in a subtle manner, offering mostly fully clothed reflexology, so as not to scare anyone off, with the true depth of the gifts I knew would show up regardless.

A woman came to see me for reflexology. She was frumpy, unkempt, and her head hung like a naughty puppy.

I brought her into my therapy room, with lots of fluffy pillows for her to be quite nested, as she dragged her tired body onto my table. She breathed a big sigh, while I closed my eyes and lovingly rubbed her feet into relaxation.

She began talking out her problems in her life. She could really talk.

I listened, while she complained about her husband. She had a really good moan and groan. After 20 minutes, I felt it was time for a change of subject. I stopped her and physically put my hand up like a stop sign.

I asked her if I could tell her how she was choosing to show up in her life.

With a furrowed brow, and a curious expression on her face, she gave me permission to share how I was experiencing her.

I then went on to tell her she had spent 20 minutes of her time with me, complaining about him.

He was a heavy drinker and she was in her mid-sixties.

She wasn’t going to leave him and start over. She planned to stay and complain.

I described him as having a bucket of life that he had chosen to fill with booze, and that she had chosen to fill her bucket of life with grievances against his choices. The higher solution for her was in her filling her bucket of life with what she could consciously choose.

I invited her to make a list of how she could roll through the stop sign of complaining she had placed in her bucket of life and instead choose that which moved her and brought her to greatness.

I have to admit that she looked at me like I had two heads. She thought I was only going to rub her feet and listen to her negative talk. I wasn’t.

She had booked for a session the next week. I was in my room fluffing pillows as she arrived. When I came to greet her in the waiting room, she looked marvelous. Her hair was fixed, she had a happy glow about her. Her clothes were stylish and she had a piece of paper in her hand. She could barely wait to tell me her news as she practically hopped onto my table.

She hadn’t simply written a list, she’d begun to live it in real time. She was helping at her grandchildren’ school, she was going out with friends and taking classes that interested her. She was claiming and loving her life again.

She returned a couple more times to deepen the love affair she was having with herself, and then she became too busy to come back. I was more than happy this was the case for her.

She was now UNSTOPPABLE!
